Austin and Andy were engaged to reimagine and design the newly renovated
seven-story headquarters for a tech client. Spanning over 250,000 square feet, the project focused on storytelling and enhancing employee and guest engagement on every floor. The initial step involved studying the context from the city’s perspective, exploring the history of the original tenant (Southern Pacific Railroad), and understanding the tech client’s narrative to weave intellectual stories throughout the space. At the dynamic intersection of these three elements, we developed a sub-theme for each level, reflecting historical eras—from the pre-1900s on the first floor to futuristic concepts on the rooftop. This approach established a distinct identity and unique atmosphere for the headquarters. The project was a massive success and turned the space into an interactive space for all guest and a way to learn and discover something new each
