Hughes House is a new apartment community in Fort Worth’s historic Stop Six neighborhood. The design of the facility was to reflect and tell the story of Robert Hughes. Coach Hughes was a legendary Fort Worth, Texas basketball coach, not just a player, who became the winningest boys' high school basketball coach in U.S. history with 1,333 wins. A Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, he coached at I.M. Terrell and Dunbar High School, winning five state championships and mentoring numerous players over 46 seasons. He was nicknamed the "Mayor of Stop Six," referring to the Fort Worth neighborhood that Hughes House is now located in.
